Flipping the script on financial education.

No textbooks. No lectures. Just real-world money, enterprise and leadership skills, learned by doing.

01Workshop One

Innovation Lab

Dream it. Build it. Pitch it.

Two days
Wed 29 &
Thu 30 July

Step inside the Innovation Lab, a high-energy creative sprint where kids become young entrepreneurs. Teams turn a spark of an idea into a real product they design, build and brand themselves, then bring it to market like a real start-up.

From branding and budgeting to working out costs, setting a price and filming their own advert (lights, camera, ring light and all), they discover exactly what it takes to launch a product, win customers and turn a profit. It will not be plain sailing though, as surprise twists and tight deadlines test their adaptability and teamwork at every turn.

Can their idea stand up to the pressure and win over the judges?

Skills unlocked
  • Creative problem-solving and innovation
  • Budgeting, pricing and making a profit
  • Brand identity, marketing and media
  • Confident pitching and communication
  • Agile thinking and teamwork under pressure
The core challenge

Build, brand and pitch a product while overcoming shifting rules and curveballs.

A note on filming, for parents
Teams script and film their own short adverts during Innovation Lab. All filming is done on a secure device owned by Future Finance Workshops, never on personal phones, and the footage stays within the workshop, shown only to the attending cohort. It is never used for marketing or shared anywhere else. If you would prefer your child not to appear on camera, that is absolutely fine: they can still take a full part in scripting, directing and creating their advert, just off camera. Simply let us know in writing at futurefinanceworkshops@gmail.com before the workshop.
02Workshop Two

Capital Island

Build a world. Shape the rules. Lead the future.

Two days
Wed 5 &
Thu 6 August

Shipwrecked on Capital Island, teams build a society from scratch, and you are in charge of the money. With limited resources, they create systems for trade, leadership and survival while navigating natural disasters, inflation spikes and ethical dilemmas. Every coin counts.

New this year, kids step into the world of governance through hands-on games, lively debates and real moral choices, discovering how laws are made, how government works, and what it truly takes to lead a community fairly.

Can your world prosper when every financial decision matters?

Skills unlocked
  • Enterprise and economic awareness
  • Resource management and budgeting
  • Ethical decision-making and leadership
  • Crisis management and negotiation
  • Systems thinking and big-picture strategy
The core challenge

Build a working economy from scratch, with money, trade and taxes, govern a thriving community, and see how it ranks on the Island Impact Index for innovation, equality and sustainability.

03Workshop Three New

Impact Hackers HQ

Turn a problem into something valuable.

Two days
Wed 11 &
Thu 12 August

Welcome to Impact Hackers HQ, where young changemakers learn to use business as a force for good. Every world-changing idea starts with a problem worth solving, so teams choose a cause they care about, dream up a bold solution, and learn what makes an idea truly valuable, then pitch it like the founders of tomorrow.

They explore how social enterprises really fund themselves, from trading and grants to crowdfunding, sponsorship and memberships, and wrestle with the trade-off between profit and purpose. Good intentions get you started; funding keeps you going.

Could your child create the next big idea for good?

Skills unlocked
  • Social enterprise: doing good and making money
  • Spotting problems and design thinking
  • How ideas get funded, from grants to crowdfunding
  • Budgeting and financial sustainability
  • Purpose versus profit: values-led decisions
The core challenge

Design a social enterprise that tackles a real problem, work out how it funds itself and stays sustainable, then pitch it to the judges, proving you can do real good and still make it add up.

Invest in their future

Real-world skills, for less than a day out.

Each workshop runs across two full days of hands-on learning. Book one, two or all three. The more they join, the more the skills build.
